Re: Vodafone
A lot of mobile phone companies have moved onto "the cloud", which basically means that the switches controlling your call could be running on a server based in China - or in a data centre anywhere else in the world.

When the links between that location and the UK are busy, which they sometimes are, everything buffers in the same way a live stream buffers when you're watching it.

Re: Vodafone
I have a question. When mobile phones became a thing 25-odd years ago, you could phone someone and the call would connect/their phone start ringing straight away. Why is it now that it takes effing ages for the other person's phone to begin ringing? Supposedly the tech has evolved with smartphones versus the old bricks, but it's gone backwards in a rather fundamental way.

Re: Vodafone
They have a very slick sales & marketing team - based on the Big 4 consultancies business operating model.

Once they've signed you up you are passed to the Operations side which is staffed, in general, by monkeys paid peanuts.

It's a fairly common BOM in mobile telecoms but Vodofone take it to another level.

Re: Vodafone
Pwoper.
That's exactly what I thought.
Again later today they contacted me and the same person has to go through their security identity thing even though they themselves has just spoke to me prior to being cut off once more.
They have Resolution managers that are based in the Uk as opposed to call center in Egypt. but they have done everything but resolve one issue. I feel sorry for the call center staff who have to take my constant rants, they are on peanuts and Vod make them powerless to do anything but apologies.
Truly the worst company going.
My mate works for them and thinks they're great. They're are anything but great.
I've teminated my contract and sold my shares.
They are like many 5G companies heavily in debt.

Re: Vodafone
Jesus it’s the worst

I had an issue where it got the point where they were literally laughing at me on the call.

All I wanted was a service that worked.

Re: Vodafone
I had several issues with Vodafone about 4 years ago and you are spot on about their customer service being non existent. I did have a happy ending with them tho the compensated me 150 for all the inconvenience they caused me. I fucked them off and will never use them again and EE but thats another story

Re: Vodafone
I agree. Up there with BA in being the worst customer service out there.

Go with Voxi if you want to use their service.
